Unhealthy air in Sibu and Sri Aman

KUCHING: The Air Pollutant Index reading in Sibu and Sri Aman in Sarawak has dropped to unhealthy levels Saturday.

As at 7am the reading was at 110 in Sibu and 108 in Sri Aman, according to the Environment Department.

The department said this was due to the transboundary haze as more than 550 hotspots were detected in Kalimantan by satellite on Friday evening.

It said other 51 areas monitored nationwide recorded good to moderate API.
