:: Keputusan SPM 2010... Sarawak meningkat... 5 sekolah lulus 100%






36 S'wak students score A+ in all their SPM subjects

KUCHING: The state achieved encouraging results for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2010, with the number of students achieving A+ increasing significantly.

State director of Education Abdillah Adam, in a statement, said 36 students scored A+ in all their subjects, compared to only nine in 2009.

The top students are Jonathan Jong Jee Heng, Lawrence Law Ka Peng, Karen Toh Hui Qi, Johnson Yap Kim Fong, Sean Edward Leong Quan Yaw, Lydia Lim Suk Jing and Ho Wei Hui (SMK Green Road, Kuching), Ronald Wong Teck Yih (SMK Sg Maong, Kuching), Lim Ji Hui (SMK Petra Jaya, Kuching), Chai Seng Min (SMK St Joseph, Kuching), Estella Wong Su Ten and Lo Chia Hwee (SMK St Teresa, Kuching), Nurul Ain Dasuki (Kolej Datuk Patinggi Abang Abdillah, Kuching), Selwyn Jong Yik Chau (SMK Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Gapor, Kuching), Audrey Alexander Likow (SMK Batu Lintang), Rebecca Wong Kee Qin, Cheong Kang Jin, Keefe Ting Fu Haow, Eric Wong Pek Ying, Gordon Wong Sy Hao, Nicholas Yew Hau Tung, Alene Yong Sze Jing, Eileen Wong Wee Chin, Cynthia Tiong Jia Nee, Huang Zhen Zhi, Wong Shau Huey, Lim Bethany Jia-Yen and Melanie Teo Ling Yin (SMK Methodist, Sibu), Jenny Ling Pin Pin (SMK Rosli Dhoby), Karen Sim Pei Cheng (SMK Bandar Bintulu, Bintulu), Mohammad Hazamyn Hazrul Hamzah (SMK Kidurong, Bintulu), Darren Diewo and Emileen Chieng Siaw Ling (SMK St Colomba, Miri), Dawnn Ira Khoo and Athirah Abdul Aziz (SMK Chung Hua, Miri), and Chris Patterson Patrick (SMK Song, Song).

Abdillah disclosed that five schools, namely SM Sains Kuching, SM Sains Miri, Kolej Tun Datuk Tuanku Haji Bujang, Miri, Maktab Rendah Sains Mara, Kuching and Maktab Sains Rendah Mara, Betong, achieved 100 per cent passes in all subjects. Eleven rural schools, which are under the good performing schools category, also recorded encouraging result.

They are SMK Kubong, Limbang, SMK Kwong Hua, Sibu, SMK Kai Chung, Meradong, SM Teknik Matang, Kuching, SM Teknik Sejingkat, Kuching, SMK Matang Jaya Kuching, SMK Pesantren Abdul Taib Mahmud, Samarahan, SMK Tiong Hua, Meradong, SMK Simangang, Sri Aman and SM Teknik, Betong and SMK Three Rivers, Mukah.

Abdillah said the results were better than the previous year examination of 91.51 per cent, an improvement of 0.27 per cent.

Seramai 673 calon SPM 2010 dari S'wak dapat gred A

KUCHING: Pencapaian prestasi calon Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2010 Sarawak secara keseluruhannya amat menggalakkan dengan 673 orang calon sekurang-kurangnya mendapat gred A dalam semua mata pelajaran.

Jumlah itu meningkat sebanyak 167 orang calon berbanding hanya 506 orang calon gred A dalam semua mata pelajaran pada tahun 2009.

Menurut kenyataan akhbar daripada Jabatan Pelajaran Sarawak semalam, daripada jumlah itu seramai 36 orang calon berprestasi cemerlang tertinggi mendapat gred A+ dalam semua mata pelajaran dan ia meningkat sebanyak 27 orang berbanding hanya sembilan orang calon pada tahun 2009.

Daripada 36 orang calon berkenaan seorang mendapat 11A+, 25 orang (10A+) dan 10 orang (9A+) dalam semua mata pelajaran.

Keputusan yang dikeluarkan semalam menyaksikan Sarawak mencatatkan seramai 32,352 (91.78 peratus) calon dari sekolah menengah yang hadir peperiksaan SPM 2010 telah berjaya mendapat sijil iaitu dengan memenuhi syarat sekurangnya lulus mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu.

91.78 peratus berkenaan adalah daripada 35,249 calon yang hadir peperiksaan SPM 2010.
